We are now looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Brighton & Hove Football Club, helping to deliver exceptional hospitality, fine dining and event catering experiences on both matchdays and non-matchdays.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the newly launched1901 Club, an exciting premium hospitality and events venue at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. You'll be at the heart of delivering outstanding culinary experiences for prestigious corporate events, private celebrations, conferences and matchday hospitality, helping shape the reputation of one of the region's most exciting new event spaces.
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working with fresh food, and is passionate about delivering outstanding food and service standards.
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef to support the delivery of high-quality hospitality and event catering across the stadium. You'll play a key role in menu development, leading kitchen teams, maintaining exceptional food safety standards and ensuring every guest enjoys a first-class dining experience.
We're seeking an enthusiastic, organised and experienced chef who enjoys developing people, taking ownership and delivering food to the highest standards. You'll be a confident and approachable leader who enjoys inspiring others to perform at their best. You will bring creativity, energy and a commitment to excellence, ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen reflects the quality and standards that Sodexo and Brighton & Hove Football Club are known for.
What You'll Do:
Supporting the planning, preparation and delivery of premium hospitality and event menus
Producing high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients and creative presentation
Supervising and motivating chefs and kitchen teams during service
Assisting with menu planning, development and cost control
Supporting stock management, ordering and inventory control
Ensuring exceptional Food Safety, Health & Safety and hygiene standards at all times
Leading by example to deliver outstanding customer experiences
Contributing innovative ideas to enhance the food offer and guest experience
Working across matchdays, conferences, private events and corporate hospitality functionsWhat You Bring:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef within a fresh food environment
Strong knowledge of food production and kitchen operations
Experience leading and motivating kitchen teams
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Passion for food, hospitality and current culinary trends
Food Safety Level 2 (minimum)
Availability to work all Brighton & Hove Albion home matchdays Desirable:
Food Safety Level 3
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification
Experience within hospitality, events, stadiums or contract catering
Menu costing and menu development experience
