How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    P6 Planner required to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in Belfast .

    The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated planning professional with deep expertise in Primavera P6, including resource and cost loading, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop, manage, and maintain fully integrated construction programmes using Primavera P6, covering all phases of the project lifecycle of the design.

    Resource-load and cost-load programmes accurately, reflecting labour, plant, equipment, and material requirements aligned to the work breakdown structure (WBS).

    Ensure that cost-loaded programmes align with project budgets, estimates, and cash flow forecasts.

    Monitor project performance using earned value management techniques, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions.

    Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to support progress valuations, forecasts, and cost reporting.

    Conduct critical path analysis, develop mitigation programmes, and support claims preparation where delays occur.

    Interface regularly with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure programme integrity and accuracy.

    Provide weekly/monthly programme updates, reports, and lookahead schedules to senior management.

    Operate independently, demonstrating strong initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

    Requirements:

    Extensive experience as a Primavera P6 Planner on large-scale infrastructure projects

    Proven ability to develop and maintain resource- and cost-loaded construction programmes.

    Strong working knowledge of earned value management (EVM), programme risk analysis, and progress measurement.

    Able to work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating a proactive approach to planning and scheduling challenges.

    Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to interfacing with multidisciplinary project teams.

    Immediate availability or short notice preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

    Experience working with NEC or FIDIC contract forms
