Site Manager

My client are a specialist civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a tunnelling and shafts project in Loughborough, with an immediate start available. This is a 6-month contract, so previous experience managing underground civils is essential.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

* Managing day-to-day site operations

* Supervising subcontractors and site teams

* Managing tunnelling and shaft construction works

* Toolbox talks

* Client and stakeholder liaison

* Health and safety compliance

* Managing RAMS, permits and temporary works

* Coordinating labour, plant and materials

* Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification

* Monitoring quality and maintaining site records

* Reporting progress to the Project Manager

Site Manager Requirements:

* Black or Gold CSCS

* SMSTS

* Strong tunnelling and shaft experience is essential

* Previous experience managing underground civils projects

* Strong civil engineering background

* Experience with deep excavations and temporary works

* Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

* Good understanding of RAMS and health and safety requirements

* Full UK driving licence
