How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Content Assistant
    Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
    Location: Hayes, Middlesex
    Working Pattern: 4 days office-based per week

    We are recruiting for a Content Assistant to join a busy E-commerce and Marketing team within an established, consumer-focused organisation.
    This is a great opportunity for a strong writer with a genuine interest in digital content, SEO and AI to develop their career within a growing E-commerce environment.

    The successful candidate will have an English Literature degree from a UK university and will be confident creating engaging, accurate and commercially focused written content. You will also have a good understanding of how AI is used within content creation and digital marketing, alongside knowledge of SEO, including meta titles, meta descriptions and keyword optimisation.
    The Role Working closely with the Marketing and E-commerce teams, you will help create, manage and optimise digital content across websites, email campaigns, brochures and third-party platforms.

    You will be responsible for ensuring content is accurate, engaging, on-brand and optimised to support both organic traffic and online sales.
    Key Responsibilities
    Create and edit engaging website, product, blog and promotional content.
    Upload and maintain product listings across websites and third-party marketplaces.
    Write and optimise product descriptions, landing pages and other digital content.
    Ensure website content is accurate, consistent and aligned with brand guidelines.
    Apply SEO principles to digital content, including keyword research, meta titles, meta descriptions and on-page optimisation.
    Support the creation and management of blog content.
    Understand and appropriately use AI tools to support content creation, research, optimisation and quality.
    Assist with email campaigns, promotional banners, landing pages and product launches.
    Support brochure content and ensure information is accurate and professionally presented.
    Work with external agencies on SEO, content and website optimisation.
    Use website analytics and reporting tools to understand content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
    Support A/B testing and website updates.
    Work closely with Marketing, E-commerce and other internal teams to ensure product and customer-facing information remains accurate and up to date. About You We are looking for someone who combines excellent writing ability with an understanding of modern digital content.
    You will ideally have:

    An English Literature degree from a UK university – essential.
    Excellent written English and a strong eye for grammar, spelling and tone of voice.
    A genuine interest in content writing and digital marketing.
    Good understanding of SEO and how search engines use content.
    Knowledge of meta titles, meta descriptions, keywords and on-page SEO.
    An understanding of how AI tools can be used effectively within content creation and SEO.
    The ability to research information and turn it into clear, engaging content.
    Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
    Good Microsoft Office skills.
    An understanding of website content management systems and/or CMS platforms.
    The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Desirable Experience It would be beneficial if you also have experience with:

    E-commerce or digital marketing.
    Website content management.
    Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.
    Basic HTML/CSS.
    Salesforce or another CMS platform.
    Canva, Photoshop or other image editing software.
    UX and conversion optimisation.
    Email marketing. What We're Looking For This role would suit someone who is naturally curious, a strong communicator and confident with words, but who also wants to develop their knowledge of the technical side of digital content.

    You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.
