Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Birmingham is looking for a Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to work across a broad range of sectors, including residential, hospitality, commercial, education, and wider built environment projects.

The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. This Project Manager role would suit a confident Project Manager who enjoys variety and wants the opportunity to broaden their sector experience. The successful Project Manager will be trusted to take ownership of commissions, manage multidisciplinary teams, and build strong client relationships across a diverse project portfolio.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will lead and support projects through both pre-contract and post-contract stages across Birmingham and the wider Midlands.

The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

The Project Manager will chair project meetings, monitor contractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Experience across residential, hospitality, commercial, education, or similar sectors
Experience delivering projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
Experience coordinating consultants and contractors
A proactive and commercially aware approach
