Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be exclusively supporting our Bournemouth, Dorset who is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team. This is a high volume multi entity business. As Assistant Accountant you will be working in a centralised finance team supporting the Group accountants with the day to day and month end processes.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

Supporting daily transactional activities, including bank reconciliations and processing transactions for multiple entities within the group
Contributing to month-end processes, assisting with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reviewing key financial schedules
Assisting with internal controls, VAT returns, and relevant reconciliations to ensure compliance with financial procedures
Engaging in system testing and process reviews related to the organisation’s new ERP implementation, helping identify opportunities for process improvement
Building effective working relationships across the finance team and wider business, supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

Expereince working in a similar position previously
Finance professional qualifications held, actively studying or qualified by experience
Possesses relevant accounting experience, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident in using finance systems, and able to adapt to new technolog
Demonstrates clear communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task ownership.
Exhibits a professional attitude and desire to progress within a supportive team environment
