Cnc Machinist

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to workon a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne.

Salary is c£28,600 - 33,200 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, pension, healthcare etc.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress within a structured production environment.

About the CNC Machinist Role:

*

Operating and setting CNC machinery, including 3-axis and 5-axis equipment

*

Working with 2D sheet metal components and a range of materials

*

Setting fixtures, jigs and tool datums

*

Carrying out tool changes and machine setting

*

Operating CNC punching machinery and setting tooling

*

Working with thin-gauge materials, approximately 0.6mm–2mm

*

Following production drawings, specifications and quality requirements

*

Working safely and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S

*

Supporting efficient production and maintaining quality standards

Requirements for the CNC Machinist:

*

Previous experience operating and setting CNC machinery

*

Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines

*

CNC punching experience would be advantageous

*

Experience setting tools, fixtures and datums

*

Ability to work from engineering drawings

*

Experience within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment is beneficial

*

CAD/CAM experience would be advantageous but is not essential

*

Strong commitment to health, safety and quality
