The company’s Head Office is based just outside Aylesbury, although the majority of the work will be carried out across South West London, with occasional travel to other sites as required.
The Role
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and associated life safety systems across a range of commercial properties.
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background who is confident working independently and dealing directly with customers on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems
* Working with wireless fire alarm systems
* Fault finding and diagnosing system issues
* Working with AOV (Automatic Opening Vent) systems
* Carrying out routine maintenance and testing
* Completing service reports and relevant documentation
* Providing a professional and customer-focused service
* Participating in the company’s on-call rota, typically 1 week in 6

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
* Good knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment
* Experience with wireless fire alarm systems
* Experience in commissioning and maintenance
* Knowledge or experience of AOV systems
* A professional approach and good customer service skills
* The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* A full UK driving licence
A Fire Extinguisher servicing/maintenance qualification or ticket would be advantageous, but is not essential.
