The project is well underway, with earthworks and groundworks progressing and the frame currently being erected. As the scheme develops, the successful QS will take responsibility for a number of internal and fit-out packages, managing these through procurement, commercial management and delivery.
We're ideally looking for someone from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor background, with strong experience managing packages on large-scale commercial, technology, industrial or similar developments.
The role:
* Managing a number of internal and fit-out packages
* Subcontract procurement and package management
* Commercial management and cost control
* Valuations, variations, payments and final accounts
* Working closely with the wider commercial and delivery teams
* Supporting the project as it progresses through the next stages
The ideal candidate:
* Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with main contractor experience
* Ideally from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 background
* Strong package management experience, particularly internal/fit-out packages
* Experience working on large, complex commercial developments
* Able to work autonomously while integrating effectively into an established project team
* Available to start ASAP
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major £80m development at a key stage of construction, with the initial requirement expected to be around 6 months but with the potential to develop into a longer-term position.
