This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths Teacher, Maths Tutor, Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant or experienced education professional with a strong understanding of Maths and experience supporting young people with SEND, SEMH, additional needs.
The role involves delivering Year 7–8 Maths, Functional Skills Maths and lower-level Maths, including pupils working at approximately primary-equivalent levels. You will work with pupils in a small-group setting, with all curriculum materials and lesson planning provided.
The Role

Deliver Maths lessons to Year 7 and Year 8 pupils
*
Support pupils working towards Functional Skills Maths
*
Deliver lower-level Maths, including primary-equivalent Maths
*
Teach in a small-group SEND / SEMH setting
*
Support pupils with SEMH, additional needs and learning difficulties
*
Follow the school's existing curriculum and lesson plans
*
Deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons
*
Maintain positive classroom routines and behaviour expectations
*
Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and progress
*
Work as part of a supportive school
*
Curriculum and resources are provided
Requirements
*
Experience delivering or supporting Maths lessons
*
Strong Maths knowledge, ideally up to GCSE / Functional Skills level
*
Experience working with SEND, SEMH or pupils with additional needs
*
Experience as a Maths Teacher, Tutor, Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant or similar
*
Confident managing small groups of pupils
*
Patient, consistent and able to build positive relationships
*
Good classroom and behaviour management skills
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
