Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-established construction consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who is degree qualified and either chartered or actively working towards chartership.

The Project Manager will support and lead projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior colleagues. This Project Manager role would suit a capable Project Manager who is confident managing programmes, risks, reporting, and stakeholder expectations. The successful Project Manager will join a professional and supportive team with a strong regional presence and clear opportunities for progression.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will lead and support projects through both pre-contract and post-contract stages across Manchester and the wider North West.

The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement support, contract administration, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

The Project Manager will attend and chair meetings, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor contractor performance, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or be actively working towards chartership
Experience managing projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
Experience coordinating consultants and contractors
A proactive, professional, and commercially aware approach
