We are currently recruiting for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join a well-established and growing steel fabrication business based in Loanhead, Midlothian.
Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, and installation of structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, staircases, and bespoke steel solutions for a wide range of construction projects throughout Scotland. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fabrication and installation services across commercial, industrial, and public-sector developments.
The Role
As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating a variety of structural steel components within a busy workshop environment.
Duties Include:

Fabricating structural steelwork from engineering drawings
*
Measuring, marking out, cutting, and assembling steel sections
*
Working with beams, columns, plate work, and bespoke steel components
*
Using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely
*
MIG welding structural steel components
*
Ensuring all work is completed to quality and safety standards
*
Working effectively as part of an experienced fabrication team
Requirements:
*
Previous experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator, Steel Fabricator, Plater/Fabricator, or Fabricator Welder
*
Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
*
Experience working with structural steelwork
*
MIG welding experience
*
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
*
Reliable and positive attitude towards work
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
