Nightshift Quality Inspector

Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum, including nightshift rate
Shift: Monday – Wednesday

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking for a well-paid nightshift position with a genuine 3-day working week?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established precision engineering business in Wimborne, working on complex components for the aerospace and defence sectors. 

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out First Off, Patrol, Last Off and 100% inspection.
Completing First Article Inspections (FAI) and associated documentation.
Inspecting complex precision-machined components against engineering drawings.
Carrying out first-principle inspection using a range of measuring equipment.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
Identifying and reporting non-conforming products and raising NCRs.
Maintaining accurate inspection and quality records.
Working closely with CNC machinists and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high quality standards.
Working in accordance with AS9100 quality requirements.The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within precision engineering/manufacturing.
Strong engineering drawing and dimensional inspection skills.
Experience with First Off / Last Off / First Principle Inspection.
Experience within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge of AS9100 and quality procedures.
Experience with FAI / AS9102 would be advantageous.
Confident use of manual inspection equipment.
A methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and make confident quality decisions.
CMM experience, particularly Mitutoyo, would be advantageous.What's on Offer?

37.5 hours per week
Overtime available on Thursdays
