How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Artificial Intelligence Lawyer

    US-headquartered law firm | London

    Newly created | Permanent

What if you could take everything you know about being a lawyer, combine it with your understanding of AI and use it to help shape how some of the best partners in the legal industry work with the technology?

You’ll work directly with partners in London and across some the firm’s small European offices, helping them understand how AI can genuinely improve the way they practise, while also giving them the confidence to help their own clients navigate the opportunities AI creates.

That could mean sitting with a partner and exploring how AI could support a live matter. Helping a team rethink an existing workflow. Identifying the right tool for a particular piece of work. Or helping partners talk confidently to clients about AI and demonstrate how the firm is using it.

You’ll become someone senior lawyers turn to when they ask:

“Could AI help us do this better?”

We genuinely feel this is right up there with one of the most interesting opportunities in legal AI right now.

The firm is a global A-player and they’re building a small AI advisory team in London and they want a qualified lawyer to help lead it.

This isn’t an AI role in the traditional sense.

And it isn’t about leaving the law behind.

    Quite the opposite.

Your experience as a lawyer is exactly what makes you valuable here.

And because the team is being built now, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how the function develops rather than simply inherit something already established.

You must be a qualified lawyer with meaningful private practice experience, combined with a strong practical understanding of generative AI and a genuine fascination with where the technology is taking the legal profession.

You don’t need to be a developer.

You don’t need to be a traditional technologist.

You need to understand lawyers, understand AI and be able to bring the two together.

If you’re a lawyer who finds yourself increasingly more excited by the possibilities of AI than the traditional path ahead of you, this could be a very interesting conversation.
