Legal Counsel

An international digital infrastructure company is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its continued expansion across Europe. Backed by a leading global investment platform, the business develops, acquires and operates large-scale data centre assets in high-growth markets.

The Role
The Legal Counsel will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing strategic legal support across acquisitions, leasing, construction, procurement and compliance matters. The role sits at the heart of a growing international platform and offers broad exposure to complex transactions and operational matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the preparation and development of template documentation for acquisitions, leasing and procurement activities.
- Negotiating, drafting and advising on complex commercial agreements, including construction contracts, supply chain arrangements and leasing documentation.
- Advising on legal risk allocation and mitigation strategies across a range of projects.
- Supporting contract administration, claims management and dispute resolution processes.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure governance, compliance and change management procedures are robust and effective.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and support commercial objectives.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 2-5 years' PQE.
- Strong construction and development experience.
- Proven transactional experience gained in private practice and/or in-house.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk against business priorities.
- Comfortable managing a varied and fast-moving workload.
Desirable:
- Experience negotiating complex construction and supply chain contracts, including FIDIC-based agreements.
- Previous exposure to the data centre, digital infrastructure, telecommunications or other mission-critical infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with colocation, hyperscale leasing or similar commercial arrangements.
- Exposure to real estate and corporate acquisition transactions.
Location
London-based role with a hybrid working model.
Travel within Europe may be required.
Reporting Line
Reports into the Legal Director.
