We are looking for a CMM Operator-Programmer to join the inspection and quality team of a precision engineering business in Hampshire. You will programme and run CMM machines to inspect complex precision-machined components, supporting both production and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with the Production, Engineering and Quality teams, with the independence to manage your own workload in a quality-focused environment.
Your responsibilities as a CMM Operator-Programmer:
Programme and operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS.
Create, edit and optimise CMM inspection programmes.
Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections on high-precision machined components.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications.
Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately.
Work with Production, Engineering and Quality to resolve conformity issues and support root cause investigations.
Your current experience which will help you as a CMM Operator-Programmer:
Proven experience programming and operating CMM machines.
Strong PC-DMIS experience.
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience inspecting high-precision machined components.
Confident using manual inspection equipment, including micrometers, verniers, gauges and height gauges.
Organised and detail-focused. A precision engineering background or quality-related qualification is desirable.
What you can expect as a CMM Operator-Programmer:
£16.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience, permanent position.
Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:30.
