How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Shift: Days Only (Monday to Friday)
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a clean, precision-focused environment where your programming skills are truly valued? We are a leading engineering business specializing in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing, and we are looking for a skilled professional to join our growing team.
This role focuses on high-quality, small-batch work and one-off prototypes, ensuring no two days are the same.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive Pay: £19.00 per hour starting rate.

    * Lots of Overtime: High availability of overtime paid at premium rates to significantly boost your earnings.

    * Professional Development: Fully funded CMM training and external certification courses provided.

    * Work-Life Balance: Stable day shifts only—no unsociable nights or weekend rotations.

    * Excellent Benefits: Generous pension scheme, free parking, and progression opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Set and program CNC Haas Milling machines from engineering drawings.

    * Manufacture high-precision one-offs and small-batch components.

    * Self-inspect your own work using manual measuring equipment.

    * Transition into utilising and programming CMM machinery (full training provided).

    * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

    What We Need From You

    * Strong background in CNC Milling (Setting and Programming).

    * Proven experience using Haas or Fanuc controls.

    * Ability to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings.

    * Experience working on one-offs and short batch runs rather than high-volume repetition.

    * A keen eye for detail and a quality-first mindset.

If you are a detail-oriented machinist ready to expand your skills into quality inspection and CMM programming, apply today with your updated CV
