How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Company Description Foster Cranes is a leading specialist in used mobile cranes, holding one of the largest stocks in the United Kingdom. The company focuses on sales, service, and ongoing support, positioning itself as a trusted extension of customers’ crane operations. Foster Cranes helps businesses select the right crane solutions to match their operational and commercial needs. In addition, the company is the official UK dealer for the Jekko range of cranes, offering a broad portfolio to diverse industries. Team members join a customer-focused environment centered on technical expertise, reliability, and long-term partnerships.

Role Description The Mobile Crane Sales role is a full-time hybrid position based in the United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site customer visits and office or home-based work. The role involves identifying new sales opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and advising clients on suitable crane solutions from Foster Cranes’ inventory. Day-to-day tasks include preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating deals, coordinating crane inspections or demonstrations, and liaising with service and support teams to ensure smooth delivery and after-sales care. The individual will maintain accurate sales records, update the CRM system, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet sales targets. Regular travel within the UK to customer sites, industry events, and the company premises will be required.

    • Solid negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
    • Comfort with using CRM systems and basic office software to manage leads, opportunities, and documentation.
    • Understanding of crane operations or willingness to develop technical product knowledge through training.
    • Self-motivated and organized, able to manage a sales pipeline and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
    • Full UK driving licence and readiness to travel to client sites and industry events.
    • Relevant vocational or academic background in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
