The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Associate to join a highly regarded Legal 500-ranked law firm in Central London.
The firm has a well-established Employment practice and acts for an impressive range of businesses, senior individuals and organisations across a broad spectrum of employment matters. Due to continued growth, the team is looking to appoint an ambitious Associate who is keen to develop their career within a commercially focused and highly respected practice.
This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced Partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload, gaining exposure to both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
The Employment Team
The Employment team advises clients on a broad range of issues, including:
- Employment Tribunal litigation
- Discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims
- Disciplinary and grievance matters
- Employment contracts and policies
- Senior exits and settlement agreements
- Restrictive covenants and confidentiality issues
- TUPE and business reorganisations
- Redundancies and restructures
- Employment aspects of corporate transactions
- General day-to-day employment advisory work
The team works closely with other departments across the firm, providing Associates with the opportunity to gain genuine cross-disciplinary and commercially focused experience.

The Role
As an Employment Associate, you will:
- Manage a varied caseload of employment matters with appropriate supervision.
- Advise both employers and/or senior individuals on a broad range of employment issues.
- Assist with Employment Tribunal claims and contentious matters.
- Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, policies and other documentation.
- Support Partners and senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters.
- Develop strong and lasting client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm.
- Take an active role in business development and the continued growth of the Employment practice.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 2–5 years' PQE in Employment law.
- Strong experience gained within a recognised private practice environment.
- Experience across a broad range of employment matters.
- Excellent technical and drafting skills.
- Strong communication and client-management abilities.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice.
- The ability to manage their own workload while working effectively as part of a team.
- An interest in developing their profile and contributing to business development.
