How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Technical Sales Engineer – Electronic Components

RF Connectors | Interconnect | Thermal Management

Location: Chessington, Surrey, with UK and European travel
    Salary: £40,000–£55,000 depending on experience

Fujikura Europe Ltd is looking for a technically minded and commercially driven Technical Sales Engineer to support the continued growth of our electronics business across the UK and Europe.

This is an opportunity to combine technical sales, application-led business development and customer relationship management across a diverse portfolio of electronic components and engineered solutions.

Working with Original Equipment Manufacturers, distributors, design engineers and purchasing teams, you will identify new business opportunities, develop existing customer relationships and support technical design-in activity from initial enquiry through to production.

    The role

You will promote a portfolio including:

    * Micro coaxial cables and cable assemblies

    * RF and coaxial connectors

    * Thermal management solutions, including heat sinks, heat pipes, vapour chambers and cold plates

    * Membrane switches, sensors, wire harnesses and other electronic component solutions

You will work across a range of engineering-led markets, including automotive electronics, data centres and associated supply chains, industrial automation, robotics, medical devices, telecommunications, surveillance and camera systems, drones and other specialist electronics applications.

    Key responsibilities

    You will:

    * Identify and develop new sales opportunities across electronic components, RF connectivity, cable assemblies and thermal management solutions.

    * Build strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, distributors, EMS companies, design engineers, purchasing teams and other key decision-makers.

    * Understand customers' technical and commercial requirements and work with Fujikura engineering and manufacturing teams to develop appropriate solutions.

    * Support design-in opportunities from initial enquiry through quotation, sampling, technical review and negotiation to production launch.

    * Manage and develop existing customer accounts while proactively identifying new business.

    * Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, forecasts and opportunity updates.

    * Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity information using Salesforce CRM.

    * Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify future opportunities.

    * Attend customer meetings, exhibitions, supplier meetings and internal business reviews across the UK and Europe.

    * Work closely with colleagues in Japan and other Fujikura group companies to coordinate technical information, pricing, samples, lead times and project support.

    About you

We are looking for someone with experience in technical sales, field sales, application engineering or business development within electronic components or a related engineered-product environment.

You might already have experience in connectors, RF/coaxial products, cable assemblies, thermal management or electronic components, or you may come from an adjacent technical market with the ability and curiosity to learn a new product portfolio.

    You will ideally bring:

    * Experience of selling or supporting technically complex products and solutions.

    * An understanding of technical sales cycles and design-in activity, from initial customer requirement through sampling, quotation and production.

    * Confidence discussing technical requirements with engineers and translating them into clear commercial and internal actions.

    * Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of pricing, margin, lead times and long-term business potential.

    * A proactive approach to new business development alongside the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

    * Strong communication, organisation and follow-up skills.

    * The ability to manage opportunities independently while collaborating effectively with sales, engineering, operations and international colleagues.

    * Experience using Salesforce CRM for pipeline management and opportunity tracking would be an advantage.

    * Willingness to travel for customer visits, exhibitions and supplier meetings across the UK and Europe.

    Essential Experience

    * Strong transferable experience within electronic components or related engineered-product markets.

    Desirable Experience

    * Previous experience of connectors, micro coaxial cables, high-speed signal transmission, Electronics Manufacturing Companies, cable assemblies or thermal management solutions.

    * Experience of working with Japanese manufacturers or international engineering teams.

    Why Fujikura?

This is an opportunity to join an established international manufacturer and play an important role in developing Fujikura's electronics business across Europe.

The position offers considerable variety: developing new customers and applications, working on technically detailed design-in projects, managing established relationships and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams internationally.

For someone who is technically curious, commercially driven and enjoys turning engineering requirements into long-term customer opportunities, this is a role with genuine scope to make an impact.

To apply: Please submit your CV together with a covering letter outlining your relevant technical sales, application engineering or business development experience
