How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Classroom Support Worker - SEMH Schools

    Skelmersdale | Day-to-Day Supply Work | Immediate Start (Once Fully Vetted)

    Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference in education?

    We are currently recruiting Classroom Support Workers to work on a day-to-day supply basis in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools across Skelmersdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds who are looking for flexible work.

    The Role:

    Providing 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with SEMH needs
    Supporting students to engage in learning and classroom activities
    Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
    Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
    Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
    Encouraging emotional regulation, confidence, and independence

    What We're Looking For:

    Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
    A calm, resilient, and patient approach
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    Confidence managing challenging behaviour
    Experience within SEN, SEMH, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings is desirable
