How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    – Cut fabric accurately, in clean, straight lines, to millimetre tolerances

    – Operate a high-frequency welding machine to join fabric sections together

    – Work through a steady, repeatable process across a variety of finished products

    – Keep your workspace organised and follow site health and safety procedures

    What you'll bring

    Essential:

    – Confident working to precise measurements, using tools such as tape measures and laser measures

    – Able to cut materials in clean, accurate, straight lines ensuring they are finished square

    – Comfortable standing and operating machinery for extended periods

    Useful, not essential:

    – Previous experience using a walking foot lock stich industrial sewing machine, or similar

    – Experience in a manufacturing, workshop, or trade environment

    – Experience working with fabric, textiles, or sheet materials

    Benefits & culture

    – Financial: £13.50–£15.00 per hour depending on experience, plus overtime available when work is busy

    – Flexibility: Overtime is optional, not compulsory, even through the busy winter season

    – Development: Full training provided on all machinery and technique, however experience of using a HF welder is essential

    – Stability: A role that's been part of this family business for over 20 years, with genuine long-term security

    Working arrangements

    Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire | Workshop-based

    Contract: Permanent | Full-time | 7am–4pm, Monday to Friday

Note: Work is busiest through the winter months. It is preferable that holidays are taken through the spring, summer and Autunm months
