Workshop Operative

A large manufacturing company based in Witham are looking for a Workshop Operative to join their expanding business. They are able to offer good solid work with plenty of overtime. Immediate starts available.

Hourly rate is up to £13.50ph and the hours are 6.30am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday. Overtime paid on a Friday which is x1.5 over 42 hours worked.

Workshop Operative duties:-

Assembling steel frames
Reading from basic engineering drawings
Using various hand tools including drills, hammers etc
Using tape measures to measure and line up the products
Making steel windows and internal steel screens
Checking quality of product including paintSkills & experience needed for this Workshop Operative role:-

You will need experience using hand tools such as drills, hammers etc
Be able to read from basic engineering drawings
Have a good attention to detail
This is a physically demanding role so you will need to be physically fitThis is a temporary role for a few months which could then turn permanent for the right person.
