How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Co-ordinator
    Salary: £27,500 per annum
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

    About the Role
    Salt College is looking for an experienced and highly organised SEND Co-ordinator to manage and co-ordinate SEND and EHCP processes across the College.
    This is a key role supporting learners with SEND throughout their journey, from initial Local Authority consultation and transition through to enrolment, EHCP implementation, annual reviews and progression.
    You will work closely with learners, families, College teams, Local Authorities and external professionals to ensure appropriate support is identified, implemented and reviewed and that statutory requirements and deadlines are met.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Manage EHCP consultations, annual reviews and statutory deadlines, ensuring documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
    * Review EHCPs and professional reports and co-ordinate information from relevant teams.
    * Ensure agreed SEND provision is understood, implemented and monitored.
    * Co-ordinate the transition and enrolment of learners with SEND, including visits, assessments, information gathering and liaison with families.
    * Maintain accurate and audit-ready SEND records, Provision Plans, Support Profiles, trackers and management information.
    * Monitor learner progress against EHCP outcomes and co-ordinate additional support or professional involvement where required.
    * Act as a key point of contact for learners, parents/carers, Local Authorities and external professionals, including health, social care and therapy services.
    * Support progression and Preparing for Adulthood planning.
    * Support SEND quality assurance, funding assurance and inspection activity.
    * Promote safeguarding, inclusion and learner welfare and contribute to a safe and supportive College environment.
    What We Are Looking For
    You will need:
    * Experience working with young people with SEND in an educational setting.
    * Experience of EHCP administration and annual review processes.
    * Strong knowledge of SEND statutory processes and safeguarding.
    * Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.
    * Ability to manage competing priorities and statutory deadlines accurately.
    * Confidence working with learners, parents/carers, Local Authorities and other professionals.
    * Maths and English at Level 2 or above.
    Desirable
    Experience within Further Education or specialist post-16 provision, SEND consultations and transitions, and knowledge of high-needs funding would be advantageous.

    You will be organised, approachable and confident, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
    You will be comfortable communicating with a wide range of people and able to build positive working relationships with learners, families, colleagues, Local Authorities and external professionals.
    Most importantly, you will be committed to ensuring learners with SEND receive the right support and have the best possible opportunity to progress and succeed.
