How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS1 Teaching Assistant - Full Time

    Location: Preston
    Start Date: Monday 2nd November
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pm
    Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

    KS1 Teaching Assistant Required - Preston

    Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in Key Stage 1 and is looking for a long-term role within a supportive school environment.

    The position is due to start on Monday 2nd November and will involve working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support to pupils across the KS1 curriculum.

    The Role

    Supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 during classroom lessons and activities.
    Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
    Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour.
    Assisting with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
    Supporting children with varying learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.
    Collaborating with teaching staff to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Previous experience supporting children within a school setting is essential.
    A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
    Ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
    Understanding of the KS1 curriculum would be advantageous.
