How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Protocol Education is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work with a Reception pupil at a welcoming primary school in the Fawdon area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for Psychology graduates looking to gain hands-on experience supporting a child with additional needs in an educational setting.
    About the School:
    Based in the Fawdon area, this primary school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. Staff work closely together to ensure pupils receive the support they need both academically and emotionally.
    What You'll Be Doing:
    * Providing consistent 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with SEND.
    * Helping the pupil engage with classroom activities and routines.
    * Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development.
    * Building a positive and trusting relationship with the child.
    * Working alongside teaching staff to implement personalised support strategies.
    Who We're Looking For:
    * Psychology graduates seeking experience within education, SEND or child development.
    * Individuals with a genuine interest in behaviour, learning and development.
    * Patient, resilient and empathetic professionals.
    * Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
