Key Duties
Manage and develop a varied portfolio of business clients.
Build trusted, long-term client relationships by acting as a strategic adviser.
Review and prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns.
Oversee VAT compliance and HMRC submissions.
Support business start-ups, company incorporations and HMRC registrations.
Deliver proactive business and tax planning advice.
Support audit and charity/not-for-profit assignments where required.
Lead, mentor and develop junior members of the team.
Manage workflow, review work and ensure deadlines are achieved.
Support Directors and Partners with technical and advisory projects.
Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and grow service offerings.
Requirements
ACA or ACCA qualified.
Previous experience working at Accounts Manager level or above within an accountancy practice.
Strong experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns.
Experience managing your own client portfolio.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong commercial awareness with a proactive approach.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Audit and charity/not-for-profit experience is advantageous but not essential.
