How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Team Teach Trained SEN Support Staff - Woolton, Liverpool & Surrounding Areas

    Are you Team Teach trained and looking for your next SEN opportunity?

    Engage Education is currently recruiting Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Learning Support Assistants and SEN Support Workers to work across a range of specialist schools and SEN provisions in Woolton and the surrounding Liverpool areas.

    If you have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, challenging behaviour or complex needs, we'd love to hear from you.

    The Role

    You could be working within a specialist SEN school, alternative provision or dedicated SEND setting, supporting pupils to access learning, develop confidence and independence and manage their emotional wellbeing.

    Depending on the setting and role, your responsibilities may include:

    * Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs

    * Providing 1:1 and small-group support

    * Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation

    * Using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies

    * Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams

    * Helping pupils engage with learning and develop independence

    * Following individual behaviour and support plans

    * Creating a safe, calm and supportive learning environment

    We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

    * Current Team Teach training - essential for some of our roles

    * Experience working within SEN, SEMH, PRU, AP or specialist school settings

    * Experience supporting challenging behaviour or complex needs

    * A calm, patient and resilient approach

    * Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    * A genuine passion for supporting children and young people

    * An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

    We'd love to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Support Workers, Youth Workers, Care Workers and other professionals with relevant transferable experience.
