How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Health, Safety & Environmental AdvisorSalary:Up to £40,000 per annum Shifts: Day Shift, Early finish on FridayLocation: BanburyA leading UK manufacturing business is growing and investing in its people, processes and site operations. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team where safety, sustainability and continuous improvement are a priority.

    The RoleAs Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor, you will help maintain high standards across the site. You will work with colleagues at all levels to improve safety, environmental performance and workplace culture.

    Key Responsibilities
    Maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work.

    Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance.

    Manage incident reporting and investigate trends.

    Carry out audits, inspections and workplace assessments.

    Support the ergonomics and PPE programmes.

    Monitor and close health, safety and environmental actions.

    Deliver health and safety training.

    Support emergency response planning and site drills.

    Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture.

    About You
    NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification.

    Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety systems.

    Good understanding of ISO 14001.

    Manufacturing or engineering experience.

    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

    Organised, proactive and detail-focused.

    Confident working independently and with teams at all levels.

    A positive, approachable and continuous improvement mindset.

    ISO 45001/ISO 14001 Auditor experience or qualifications would be an advantage.
