How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Business

    A well-established food manufacturer with a long-standing presence in the UK market is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Manager. Operating multiple production sites nationally and employing a large workforce, the business produces a range of much-loved food brands found in households across the country. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Quality Systems Manager to lead quality management standards at their Llantarnam facility.

    The Role

    The Quality Systems Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).

    This includes maintaining documentation accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving audit readiness across the site.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee QMS compliance with Group and regulatory standards
    • Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation
    • Prepare the site for customer, regulatory, and Group audits
    • Lead sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and pest control programme implementation
    • Maintain quality data systems and ensure accurate performance reporting
    • Monitor quality performance and drive corrective improvements
    • Manage internal audit programmes and continuous improvement initiatives

    What We're Looking For

    • Strong background in food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality assurance
    • HACCP Level 3
    • Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent)
    • Knowledge of major UK retailer quality requirements
    • Experience in Quality Systems management within food manufacturing
    • QMS maintenance and improvement experience
    • Audit support experience
    • Strong communication and presentation abilities
    • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
    • Organised, proactive, solution-focused approach
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Data-driven analytical skills
