How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Specification Coordinator

    Ipswich, Suffolk

    £30,000-£35,000 + bonus + Excellent Benefits

Full Time Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, hybrid after probation

    The Opportunity

We're delighted to be supporting a highly respected, market-leading manufacturer in their search for a Technical Specification Coordinator to join their specialist Technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional with a strong understanding of roof waterproofing systems and their construction to join a successful, people-focused organisation.

Working within the Technical department, you'll play an important role in reviewing specifications, analysing survey reports, checking technical proposals and ensuring waterproofing systems are suitable, accurate and compliant with project requirements.

You'll work closely with clients and internal teams, providing technical support and advice while using your knowledge of roofing systems, construction and architectural drawings to identify issues and ensure the right technical solutions are delivered.

This is a role where precision, accuracy and attention to detail really matter, but so do communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Producing, checking and processing incoming technical specification requests

    • Reviewing technical documentation and ensuring specifications are suitable and compatible with the relevant waterproofing system

    • Checking roof survey reports and identifying inconsistencies or potential issues

    • Reviewing and interpreting architectural and construction drawings

    • Providing technical advice and support to clients and internal teams

    • Producing technical calculations and technical detail drawings

    • Supporting the wider Technical team with specification and project requirements

    • Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and to a high standard

    • Dealing with technical enquiries and communicating confidently with a range of stakeholders

    • Working independently when required whilst contributing positively within a busy, professional team

    What We're Looking For

    • Strong working knowledge of roof waterproofing systems and their construction

    • Previous experience within a roofing, waterproofing, construction or related technical environment

    • The ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings

    • Technically capable and/or qualified, with a logical and analytical approach

    • Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and precision

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • A personable, approachable and professional manner

    • The ability to work independently while also being a proactive and supportive team player

    • CAD experience would be advantageous, but is by no means essential

    • Good general computer literacy

    • A proactive, motivated and flexible approach

    The Rewards & Benefits

    • Competitive salary and excellent benefits package

    • The opportunity to join a highly respected and successful organisation

    • A specialist technical role where your existing roofing knowledge will be genuinely valued

    • The opportunity to develop your technical expertise further

    • A collaborative, supportive and people-focused working environment

    • Genuine long-term career development opportunities

    • Investors in People Platinum accreditation

    • A business that values autonomy, ownership and professional development
