How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Heybridge
    Salary: £20.00 – £25.00 per hour + Overtime (Time and a Half)
    Shifts: Days or Nights available (Choose your preference)

    CNC Miller, Programmer, Setter - The Role
    We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller (Programmer/Setter/Operator) to join our expert production team. In this role, you will take ownership of the manufacturing process from initial programming through to final inspection, working with high-value materials and tight tolerances.

    CNC Miller, Programmer, Setter - Key Responsibilities

    * Program, Set, and Operate CNC Hurco or Haas Milling machines.

    * Utilize Controls efficiently using either Hurco or Fanuc systems.

    * Manage Batch Production ranging from small to medium runs.

    * Maintain Tight Tolerances to ensure the highest standards of component quality.

    * Inspect Component Quality using standard manual measuring equipment.

    CNC Miller, Programmer, Setter - Requirements & Experience

    * Proven Track Record as a CNC Miller, Programmer, and Setter.

    * Control Proficiency with deep working knowledge of Fanuc or Hurco systems.

    * Precision Focus with experience working to tight tolerances for demanding industries.

    * Self-Motivated with the ability to interpret engineering drawings independently.

    Shift Patterns
    We offer flexibility with dedicated day or night shifts to suit your lifestyle:

    Day Shift
    Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30
    Friday: 08:30 – 12:30 (Enjoy an early weekend finish!)

    Night Shift
    Dedicated night shift hours and specific shift premiums can be discussed at the interview stage
