As a Carpenter, you’ll be working in our customers' homes carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance, delivering an exceptional customer service.
What you’ll be doing
Carrying out multi-trade repairs, with a primary focus on carpentry, while undertaking a range of general maintenance tasks as required.
Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day repairs including doors, locks, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring, kitchen units, worktops, minor wall repairs, tiling, and basic plumbing-related repairs.
Completing carpentry repairs and associated works to kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, and other areas of customers' homes to a high standard.
Undertaking associated works such as patch plastering, sealing, decorating touch-ups, minor tiling, and replacing fixtures, fittings, handles, locks, and ironmongery.
Working independently to manage your own workload while collaborating with other trades on more complex repairs and projects.
Accurately recording work completed, materials used, and updating progress through work orders and reporting systems.
Delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents informed throughout the repair process.
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Hyde's health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes
What we’re looking for
Solid experience across carpentry with the ability to undertake other general maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
Confident using hand and power tools
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Good communication skills and a customer?friendly attitude
Physically fit and happy with hands?on work
Experience working in social housing is a bonus
A full, valid UK driving licence
