Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled, time-served Commercial Tiler specialising in bathroom and wet room fit-outs to join an active commercial project in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are partnering with a leading interior contractor requiring a precision operative capable of delivering pristine, watertight finishes across high-volume commercial bathroom facilities.
If you are a Tiler who excels at detailed layout planning, precise cutting around sanitaryware, and quality grouting, and wants to lock in excellent earnings on a local site, we have immediate starts available now.
The Role
Bathroom & Wet Room Tiling: Fixing ceramic, porcelain, and mosaic tiles to walls and floors across commercial washrooms, shower blocks, and wet room facilities.
Substrate Preparation & Tanking: Preparing surfaces, applying waterproof tanking membranes, and ensuring accurate falls to floor drainage points before fixing tiles.
Precision Cutting: Utilizing wet saws, tile cutters, and grinders for neat cuts around pipework, concealed valves, drainage hubs, and wall fixtures.
Grouting & Mastic Finishing: Applying appropriate waterproof grouts, expansion joints, and sanitary silicone sealants for an impeccable, watertight finish.
Quality & Safety: Maintaining top-quality workmanship while adhering to commercial fit-out program timelines and site RAMS.
Requirements
CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Tiler / Skilled Worker) is mandatory.
Experience: Proven track record in commercial bathroom, wet room, or washroom tiling fit-outs.
Tools & Kit: Full professional tiling toolkit (wet cutter, manual cutter, levels, tanking tools) and standard 5-point PPE.
Reliability: High attention to detail, punctual, and able to work cleanly alongside plumbing trades.
Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
