Engineer

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Stevenage? You will be electrically bias and have experience of working within a food / FMCG environment. As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of £51,750 working a 4 on 4 off days & night shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment
Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements of the plant
Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues
Support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems
Carry out routine checks, lubrication and scheduled maintenance
Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues

Ideal Candidate:

Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
Experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and drives
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
