How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.

    MET TECHNICIAN - Must also be skilled in Panel Beating

    Location: Swindon
    OTE: £55,000 DOE
    Basic Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE + Time Saved Bonus + Plenty of Overtime Available
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week - 7:30am to 4:30pm

    Looking for an MET Technician role where your mechanical, electrical and trim expertise is properly rewarded - with a Time Saved Bonus, plenty of overtime available, and an OTE of £55,000 DOE?

    Crucially, you must also be a skilled Panel Beater. This is a genuinely multi-skilled Bodyshop position for a technician who can confidently carry out both MET work and Panel Beating. If you have strong experience across both disciplines, this is an opportunity to put your full skill set to work and maximise your earning potential.

    Working Monday to Friday for 42.5 hours per week, from 7:30am to 4:30pm, you'll take on a varied role combining Mechanical, Electrical & Trim and Panel Beating responsibilities, with additional earning opportunities through the Time Saved Bonus structure and overtime.

    THE ROLE
    As an MET Technician with strong Panel Beating skills, you'll carry out both MET and vehicle body repair work on accident-damaged vehicles. The ability to Panel Beat to a professional standard is an essential requirement for this position.

    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
    ·Carrying out Panel Beating and vehicle body repairs, including repairing, replacing, and aligning damaged panels.
    ·Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, interior, exterior, and trim components.
    ·Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults where required.
    ·Using specialist MET and body repair tools and equipment safely and effectively.
    ·Working to manufacturer repair methods and relevant industry standards.
    ·Working closely with Paint Technicians, Panel Beaters, and other Bodyshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
    ·Completing allocated repairs efficiently while maintaining excellent workmanship and maximising opportunities within the Time Saved Bonus structure.

    ABOUT YOU
    This opportunity is specifically suited to an experienced MET Technician who is also a competent Panel Beater. Candidates who only have MET experience without practical Panel Beating ability will not meet the essential requirements of the role.

    You'll ideally have:
    ·Proven professional experience as both an MET Technician and Panel Beater.
    ·Strong practical Panel Beating skills, including the ability to repair, replace, and align damaged vehicle panels.
    ·Previous experience within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
    ·Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
    ·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical, trim, and body repair systems.
    ·The ability to diagnose faults and carry out accurate mechanical and electrical repairs.
    ·Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
    ·The ability to work efficiently and productively while maintaining consistently high standards.
    ·A full UK driving licence.
