How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Production Team Leader to join their growing operations team.
    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor from a manufacturing environment who enjoys leading people, driving performance and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within a busy production environment, ensuring production schedules are delivered on time while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
    Production Team Leader
    Job Description

    Lead, motivate and develop a team of production and assembly personnel.
    Coordinate daily production activities to ensure output targets and customer delivery requirements are achieved.
    Manage and maintain production schedules, balancing resources and priorities to maximise efficiency.
    Monitor productivity, quality and performance metrics, taking corrective action where required.
    Support inventory management, stock accuracy and material availability.
    Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities.
    Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve performance.
    Support training, development and performance management activities within the team.
    Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. 
    Production Team Leader
    Experience & Skills

    Previous experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership position.
    Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
    Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
    Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
    Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance.
    Understanding of inventory management and production processes.
    Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
    Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
    Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments
