Vehicle Technician
opportunity based in
Bury
. This position offers the chance to become part of a busy, modern workshop within a respected and established independent business that genuinely values its employees. The working pattern is
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays mornings
. In return, you'll receive a competitive basic salary of up to
£34,000
, with flexibility for experienced candidates, alongside genuine job security and a positive working environment.
Job Duties Include:
Perform servicing, repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment.
Replace and repair vehicle components in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Conduct vehicle inspections and health checks, identifying any additional work required.
Complete all repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Undertake repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, timing belts and engine work.
Complete all workshop paperwork accurately and within required timescales.
Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure equipment is kept in good working order.
Follow company procedures and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer vehicles are completed on schedule.
Consistently deliver excellent quality of work and contribute towards a productive workshop environment.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician.
MOT Licence would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
Confident fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
Own set of tools required.
Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of six penalty points.
Reliable, professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
