How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Description The project is at a very early stage. The Lead Game Designer will own the overall gameplay vision to deliver cohesive, fun, and accessible player experiences. They will define core mechanics, systems, progression, and ensure that all features align with the product goals and audience needs. The Lead Game Designer will also be expected to deliver early prototypes. There is a genuine opportunity to convert this role into full-time in the future.


    Qualifications

    • Ability to create clear, detailed design documentation and communicate concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Prior experience in a lead or senior design role and a portfolio or shipped titles demonstrating relevant game and level design work.
    • Technical ability to deliver prototypes
    • Strong game design skills, including experience defining core mechanics, systems, and progression for PC games.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the use of player data and feedback to iterate on gameplay and balance.
    • Familiarity with common game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine)
    • Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in game design, game development, computer science, interactive media, or a related field. Is preferred
    • Right to work in the UK
