How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Overview

Own the growth strategy and P&L for scaling the brand's D2C business in Europe, with a primary focus on the UK and Germany. This is a build-and-scale mandate: taking a jewelry (or premium lifestyle) D2C brand from early traction to category-relevant scale across two structurally different markets, each with its own consumer behavior, regulatory frame, payment norms, and competitive set. The role demands both strategic clarity on where to play and the operational credibility to execute market by market rather than treating Europe as one undifferentiated bucket.

    Core Responsibilities

    Market P&L & Strategy

    • Own revenue, contribution margin, and marketing efficiency (blended ROAS / CAC-to-LTV) across the European D2C business.
    • Build market-specific entry and scale playbooks — recognizing that the UK and Germany cannot be run on a single shared plan.
    • Prioritize sequencing and investment allocation across markets, and define the roadmap for extending into additional European geos over time.

    Growth & Performance Marketing

    • Direct paid acquisition (Meta, Google, TikTok), retention (email/SMS via Klaviyo or equivalent), and the balance between brand and performance spend.
    • Localize funnel, creative, and offer strategy per market — not just translate it.

    Merchandising & Category Strategy

    • Adapt assortment to local taste: e.g., gold purity/karat preferences, sizing conventions (ring sizes differ UK vs EU), price-point tiering, gifting vs self-purchase mix, and occasion calendars (Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day timing shifts by geo).
    • Manage hallmarking/assay requirements (UK hallmarking is legally mandated), materials claims, and returns behavior on high-consideration, high-AOV items.
    • Identify select categories and sub-categories most relevant to each market and build the scale-up plan around those focused bets, across merchandizing, marketing & user journey.

    Operations, Logistics & Compliance

    • Own fulfilment, duties/VAT handling, and the delivery promise per market.
    • Navigate post-Brexit import complexity (UK) and EU VAT/OSS and GDPR (DE).

    Localization & Payments

    • Ensure market-native payment methods and customer expectations in each geo are met across the funnel, including language localization and locally expected trust signals.

    Marketplace Strategy

    • Define the role of marketplaces alongside owned D2C — e.g., the place of Amazon and relevant local platforms, and any retail/wholesale hybrid — and how they complement rather than cannibalize the direct channel.

    Partnerships

    • Manage agency, 3PL, and influencer/creator partnerships per market to support scale.

    Ideal Background

    • 8–12+ years in D2C/ecommerce, with direct P&L ownership in the UK and/or Germany.
    • Bonus: jewelry, watches, accessories, or premium/considered-purchase categories.
    • Data-fluent (attribution, cohort), marketing understanding, operationally credible, and culturally adaptive.
