How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Procurement Coordinator

Sector: Social Housing / Regulated Environment

Location: High Wycombe / Hybrid (2 Days On-Site Per Week)

    Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

    Overview

We are supporting a social housing provider with the appointment of a Procurement Coordinator to join its Commercial function.

This is a varied role supporting the organisation's procurement governance, compliance and sourcing activity, with a particular focus on ensuring third-party spend is managed effectively and in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 and internal governance requirements.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will act as a key point of contact for procurement enquiries, support below-threshold tender exercises, maintain procurement and contract data, and help improve the processes and information that underpin effective commercial decision-making.

The role would suit someone with experience in a procurement, commercial or sourcing environment who enjoys combining hands-on procurement activity with stakeholder engagement, governance and continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    As Procurement Coordinator, you will:

    • Act as a primary point of contact for procurement enquiries across the organisation, providing guidance and directing colleagues to the appropriate information or process.
    • Support and undertake below-threshold procurement and tender exercises, using established tender documentation and governance processes.
    • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders undertaking their own sourcing activity, ensuring appropriate procurement and governance requirements are followed.
    • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant procurement legislation and compliance requirements, including the Procurement Act 2023.
    • Maintain accurate procurement, spend and contract information to support reporting, decision-making and statutory transparency requirements.
    • Support the management and improvement of key commercial information, including the contract register, procurement delivery plan and supplier spend reporting.
    • Maintain effective contract storage and record-keeping arrangements across electronic and physical systems.
    • Improve access to procurement guidance and information, including maintaining relevant content on SharePoint and proactively communicating key updates to stakeholders.
    • Work collaboratively across the organisation to identify opportunities to improve or automate procurement processes and improve the quality and flow of commercial data.
    • Support effective customer and resident engagement within procurement activity, ensuring appropriate input is captured as part of relevant exercises.
    • Contribute to achieving value for money through robust procurement processes, appropriate contractual arrangements and transparent evaluation and decision-making.

    Requirements

We are interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

    • Recent experience in a procurement, commercial, sourcing or similar role within a regulated environment.
    • An understanding of procurement governance, compliance and tendering processes.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with compliance documentation, procurement records and commercial data.
    • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports and papers suitable for senior or executive-level audiences.
    • Confidence working with spreadsheets, reports and procurement datasets.
    • Good general IT capability, with experience using document management or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint advantageous.
    • A proactive approach to improving processes and ways of working.
    • CIPS Level 2, or demonstrable equivalent experience in supplier sourcing and tendering.

Experience of the Procurement Act 2023, public procurement or working within social housing would be particularly relevant given the nature of the position
