How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Dahlia Recruitment - Life Sciences are partnered with a rapidly growing global Medical Device company in the UK to recruit for a remote based experienced Senior Medical Affairs Specialist to help shape Medical Affairs strategy across the UK, Ireland and EMEA.


    You will work closely with Global Medical Affairs, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Clinical and R&D teams to translate scientific evidence into impactful customer engagement, education and market development.


    This is a highly visible, field-based role for someone who combines scientific credibility, strong stakeholder relationships and commercial awareness. The role will be remote in the UK and will require travel.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Execute the UK & Ireland Medical Affairs strategy in alignment with Global and EMEA priorities.
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with KOLs, clinical experts, healthcare organisations and professional bodies.
    • Communicate clinical and scientific data clearly to internal and external audiences.
    • Deliver and participate in podium events, conferences, customer education programmes and Study Days.
    • Act as a speaker at selected events and lead advisory boards on strategically important topics.
    • Support product launches and new/emerging technologies, including Endoscopy and Decontamination.
    • Provide medical and clinical input into R&D, Marketing, Sales and other cross-functional initiatives.
    • Support commercial teams with clinical, scientific and product education.
    • Gather clinical, customer and competitive insights to support business strategy.
    • Represent the company at relevant national and international conferences.
    • Ensure all activities meet regulatory, legal and company requirements, maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical integrity.


    What You’ll Bring


    • 5-10 years’ relevant experience in Medical Affairs, medical devices, healthcare, clinical practice or a related field.
    • BSc or equivalent qualification in Medical/Life Sciences, or relevant decontamination qualification.
    • Strong knowledge of infection prevention, decontamination and/or healthcare processes.
    • Experience working with KOLs and senior healthcare stakeholders.
    • Ability to interpret and communicate scientific and clinical evidence effectively.
    • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK and assigned territory.
