How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Infrastructure Expansion & Commercial Lead is responsible for driving network growth, developing new site opportunities, and delivering scalable connectivity solutions that support business expansion and customer requirements. The role leads the full lifecycle of infrastructure development, from opportunity identification and commercial assessment through planning, design, build, and operational readiness.


    The role is working for a high profile client based in Reading with hybrid working.


    Key Responsibilities

    Network expansion - Identify and progress new site opportunities across macro, rooftop and streetworks infrastructure.

    Connectivity solutions - Develop scalable connectivity and shared‑infrastructure solutions that meet customer and network needs.

    Commercial leadership - Lead business cases, negotiate agreements and manage commercial risks for new opportunities.

    Planning and design - Oversee feasibility, planning applications and design development to ensure compliant, effective solutions.

    Delivery oversight - Coordinate acquisition, build and deployment activities, monitoring timelines, budgets and quality.

    Stakeholder engagement - Build strong internal and external relationships, presenting recommendations and representing the business with partners and authorities.


    Skills & Experience

    Essential

    • Telecoms experience in mobile, digital infrastructure or related sectors.
    • Macro site and network expansion knowledge.
    • End‑to‑end programme delivery across site development and deployment.
    • Commercial acumen including business case development and negotiation.
    • Planning and permitting understanding.
    • Stakeholder influence and strong relationship‑building capability.
    • Project and programme management.

    Desirable

    • Neutral host knowledge.
    • Mobile deployment and fibre connectivity.
    • Experience with authorities and developers.
    • Relevant professional qualification.
