We are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of airport equipment, helping to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.
Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will deliver high-quality servicing and repairs while providing an excellent service to business customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair a wide range of ground support equipment.
- Complete mechanical and electrical planned preventative maintenance in accordance with scheduled plans.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to the required safety and quality standards.
- Complete service documentation and job cards accurately and within the required timescales.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support the safe and efficient turnaround of equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong HGV mechanical experience is essential.
- HGV Class 1 driving licence.
- City & Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering, Motor Mechanics or an equivalent discipline.
- Five years of checkable employment history for airside pass clearance.
- Ability to pass the required CRC checks.
- Ability to obtain GSAT certification through the company’s in-house training programme.
- Experience working with GSE, commercial vehicles, heavy plant or similar equipment would be advantageous.
