Are you looking for a Bid Writer role that offers genuine autonomy and flexibility, within a business investing in its work-winning function and building a collaborative, high-performing bid culture?

This is an opportunity to join an established electrical compliance and property safety solutions provider, operating extensively across the social housing market. You will report directly to an experienced Senior Bid Manager with an excellent track record of developing people and building successful bid teams. Working alongside the Bid Coordinator, Junior Bid Writer, Bid Manager and Estimator, you will play an important role in strengthening the bid function and improving the quality of submissions across the business.

Rather than simply joining an established process, you'll have the opportunity to influence how the function develops, take real ownership of your work and see the impact of the bids you produce.

Your Duties:

* Take responsibility for producing high-quality written responses across social housing compliance and electrical tenders and frameworks

* Work closely with the Senior Bid Manager and Head of New Business to develop win themes, storyboards and compelling, structured responses

* Contribute throughout the bid lifecycle, from opportunity qualification and kick-off through to final submission

* Improve the consistency, clarity and overall quality of written submissions

* Mentor and support a Junior Bid Writer, helping to develop their capability and raise standards across the team

* Engage with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to extract, challenge and refine technical content

* Ensure submissions are compliant, well-structured, persuasive and clearly aligned with client requirements

Experience Required:

* Previous experience working as a Bid Writer, Senior Bid Writer, Proposal Writer or similar

* Strong written and editorial ability, with demonstrable experience producing high-quality tender responses

* Experience working on public-sector tenders and/or frameworks, including housing associations or local authorities

* Experience within social housing, property services, compliance, M&E or a related built-environment sector would be advantageous, but is not essential
