How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Digital Content Creator

    Location: Brighton

    Salary: £26,520 – £32,240 per annum

At BIMM University, we're more than just an educational institution; we're a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing creativity and empowering students to reach their full potential. With campuses across the UK, Ireland, and Germany, we offer a diverse range of courses in modern music, performing arts, filmmaking and creative technology. Our commitment to excellence in creative arts education sets us apart, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in their chosen fields.

    About the Role

As Digital Content Creator, you will deliver content production across BIMM University's network of colleges. The role plays a key part in creating high-quality video content that supports marketing, recruitment, admissions and internal communications, ensuring activity is well planned, aligned and delivered to a high standard.

Working across a variety of projects and campaigns, you will create engaging video content that showcases student life, academic provision, events and the wider BIMM University experience. You'll produce content for a range of digital channels and audiences, with a particular focus on video production.

    What You'll Do:

Produce promotional, educational and event-based video content for internal and external audiences, managing projects from planning through to delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the University to ensure content aligns with wider marketing, recruitment and brand campaigns.
Plan and deliver video shoots on campus and on location, including camera operation, audio recording and directing contributors.
Conduct interviews with students, staff, faculty, alumni and external partners, capturing authentic and engaging content.
Edit video content using Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong emphasis on Adobe Premiere and occasionally Adobe After Effects.
Create and adapt motion-led and social-first content for a range of platforms, ensuring outputs are optimised for different audiences and channels.
Produce content for social media, paid advertising campaigns, promotional activity and documentary-style projects.
Support the maintenance and management of the University's central video and content library.
Identify opportunities to enhance content output through new production techniques, creative approaches and emerging digital platforms.

    What You'll Bring:

Proven experience in video production, filming and editing across a range of content types.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and the wider Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
Experience creating and editing social media content, paid advertising campaigns, promotional videos and documentary-style content.
Excellent post-production skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for a variety of digital platforms.
A creative approach with a strong eye for detail, pacing and visual storytelling.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Clear verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively with a range of stakeholders.
The ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
A genuine passion for the creative industries, particularly music, film and/or games.
Experience in motion design, graphic design and/or sound design would be an advantage, although not essential.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide a link to a portfolio, showreel, website or examples of previous work demonstrating your experience in video production, editing and digital content creation.

We encourage early applications, as we may close the advert ahead of the stated deadline if we receive a high volume of interest.
