How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Recruitment Consultant to join our growing education recruitment team in Chelmsford.

    As an Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in connecting talented teachers and education professionals with schools across Essex. You will build relationships with candidates and schools, understand their requirements and provide a high-quality recruitment service from initial contact through to placement.

    The Role

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    Building and maintaining strong relationships with schools and education professionals.
    Sourcing, interviewing and registering high-quality candidates.
    Matching candidates to suitable teaching and support opportunities.
    Developing new and existing client relationships.
    Managing the recruitment process and ensuring candidates receive excellent service.
    Working towards individual and team targets.
    Keeping up to date with the local education market and recruitment trends.
    Supporting candidates throughout their journey and providing regular communication.

    About You

    We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant who is confident, resilient and motivated to succeed. Previous recruitment or sales experience would be beneficial, but it isn't essential. We are particularly interested in people who have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the determination to build a successful career.

    You will need to be comfortable speaking with people at all levels, managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment. Most importantly, you will need to enjoy building relationships and have the drive to achieve your goals.
