A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Basingstoke is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join its specialist support team, working with pupils who have a range of SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a valuable opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant to gain hands-on experience in a supportive educational setting while working alongside experienced teachers, SEN professionals and specialist staff.
The Role
As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll support pupils across the primary age range, helping children who may experience:
Autism and ADHD
Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
Trauma-related behaviours
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Barriers to learning and social developmentYou'll help pupils develop emotional awareness, build confidence, strengthen relationships and engage more positively with their learning.
