TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEN school in Ashington that supports primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs. The school provides a supportive learning environment for children with Autism / ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties, helping pupils to engage positively with their education.
The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, supporting pupils with their learning, engagement and individual needs throughout the school day.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, ADHD and/or learning difficulties
• A good understanding of the needs of primary-aged pupils
• The ability to provide effective classroom and individual support
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
