How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Structural Analysis Engineer – Aerospace-Mid, Senior and Principal Level- Permanent role- £40,000-£75,000 DOE

    Location: Bristol, UK – Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week on-site)

    Are you an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer looking for your next challenge? Want to work on some of the most innovative tech out there?

    Join a growing aerospace engineering team working on mission-critical technology across Defence, Security and Space. You’ll have the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to manufacturing and structural testing.

    This is a hands-on role where your analysis will directly influence the design and performance of cutting-edge aerospace structures.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    * Carry out static strength analysis of metallic and composite aerospace structures.

    * Build, run and post-process FEA models using tools such as Nastran, ANSYS and Altair.

    * Analyse components, sub-assemblies and full-airframe load cases.

    * Produce high-quality stress reports and structural substantiation.

    * Support structural testing, including predictions and correlation of test results.

    * Apply industry-standard methods and references including Roark, Niu, Bruhn, MMPDS and ESDU.

    * Work closely with design, manufacturing, test teams, customers and suppliers.

    * Plan and manage your own workload, estimates and delivery timescales.

    What We’re Looking For

    * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

    * Relevant structural analysis experience.

    * Experience or familiarity with FEA and CAD tools.

    * Working knowledge of metallic and composite materials.

    * Understanding of fatigue and damage tolerance principles.

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    * A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of your work.
